Lots of things….news analyses…

I think I am putting finger to keyboard after a long time literally to sit and scribble my thoughts… Last week was a learning experience for me with my new sessions at Sri Ramakrishna and Kongunadu Arts.

It was definitely good to see people actually treating Branding as a subject. I thought it might not cut ice, but it was surprise when they actually related so easy to it.

on the F1 front, the rumour mill had enough of this story of Alonso and the Ferrari and today it ground to a halt with an official announcement from the Italian outfit. Alonso will partner Massa and Fisichella in the next year.

So Kimi will be released and more importantly Kubica will arrive as No.1 at Renault. Kimi to Mclaren alongside Lewis? We are awaiting a formal announcement soon.

Now it the Air India which took to Jet Style, sorry the pilots I mean took to sick leave leaving the national carrier grounded for over four days. Missing was the effevescent Mr. Praful Patel during this time.

Sorely missing Mr. Shashi Tharoor too  and his tweets… :(

In the idiot box tube the reality is taking too much of a strain with the kids barely a year old making their debut at the NDTV Imagine reality show after Rakhi’s Swayamvar.

Talking of Rakhi, theres Rahul Mahajan who’s doing Act II of searching his bride to be on a reality show… waiting to see whats up for the eyeballs, surely the TRPS are bound to be high knowing pretty well how playboyish Rahul is. The news is that his wife will not participate in the show. I wonder what Pramod Mahajan is thinking looking down from heaven?

On the climate change front the powers that be are looking to make it happen. Lets hope to save the future for future’s sake.

That’s it for now…

The Brand You presentation…

This is the presentation I did on Brand You. this was a part of the Future – a programme by JCI Coimbatore Cosmo.

The first programme was at Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Sciences for Women, Avarampalayam, Coimbatore.

Jc Ananthakrishnan, a senior JCI and an auditor by profession set the day rolling with his ‘Emotional Intelligence.’

I followed it with my presentation on Brand You.

Brand You

So the contorversy refuses to die down, or as Prem Panicker put it 71 characters had the nation in swing well really no other news was picked up for the breaking news item…

There was this joke in Amit verma’ blog whats the difference between Twitter and Loksabha, it was this Twitter has 140 characters while Loksabha has 545.

Just as we see how a small English usage which has no real bad intent or purport can become a tool in the hands of sycopants literally making it look so sad for the country…

I have an idea for twitter, make Shashi Tharoor the brand ambassador…oh the fact of the matter is infact he was paid to do that twittering holycow…lol

Tweets and the fallout…

Shashi Tharoor before he landed at Africa had landed in a more troublesome twittering. Poor Shashi answering to a question he had used the same words…. it was a mistake…

The whole of the country was in debate and I was wondering how come man in question is n’t replying… he was in Africa.

All this only goes to show how we are such a crazy nation and am afraid if we are trying to ape America.

On other note, the former Media Advisor to our present PM said in a way that those who are twittering or those kind are really a minority now thats a statistic we should consider to eradicate…

On the F1 front, the Renault stands exposed by the men who were the face of Renault. Now what is the big Q out at the paddock…

I wrote an open letter to Vijay Mallya and thot it fit not to publish that…

Aha Mallya speaks out…

Its making heads turn well Mr. Mallya had done it on tracks and this time around he is pretty sure our Indian drivers who ever they are need to be up to the mark.

Some thoughtful provocation for the Indian Motorsports fraternity and ofcourse leaves me thinking whats does he have in mind.

I have an idea for KC, look further KC, there are enough teams, and its should be a good fit for you to learn the tricks before you end in a good team.

At last after almost a week…

I have not been able to blog the way I wanted last week with exams in my schedule. With a sigh of relief I am back to business and hopefully be able to be online everyday.

Last week was memorable in many ways, Rahul Gandhi was in town and had an opportunity to meet him. This man has the potential to turn the tide against the erring politicians or at least that’s the hope one gets listening to him. Ofcourse we were told that he was against connecting the rivers, I don’t know why he said that or what he meant when he said that.

It was simply great to listen to him. At his age he is matured and is living a dream and preparing himself. Ofcourse it strikes you that he is no Jagan from AP and thats a positive always.

The F1 has more interesting news for India in Adrian Sutil. He was the unsung man when Fisi did the most remarkable job of putting the Force India Car on pole and made Kimi sweat it out to get his place in the podium at Belgium. This time around it was Adrian’s turn and this show went on to prove that the way FF1 raced was no flash in the pan.

They have literally jumped yards from being into the points to being for the podium. A turnaround for sure and it will be great if we can see this continue in the next year.

Alongside, Bernie was not happy at Karun not being invited to Force India F1 for the seat that Fisi vacated to join Ferrari which even Mallya termed as the dream of any F1 driver and more so of an Italina F1 driver and they supported the fruition of such dream for Fisi.

Exams are a nervous things by itself. Sometimes we begin to wonder what has gone into the minds of the Question paper setter, so much so that he thinks we need to know everything to master that subject in theory not so much in practical terms. I was sad that we did not have a single question in practical mode to suggest a solution. Long live my University.

Will catch up.

Prakash Raj – The Best Actor

Recently, I happened to watch the film Gilli, starring well Vijay, Trisha and ofcourse Prakash Raj. My friend commented, if not for Prakash Raj and the ‘Chellam’ dialogue, the film would have fared pretty bad.

I am not a big critic, nevertheless, I have had the opportunity of watching him perform on stage at close quarters and what I am narrating is almost 11 years ago. The time when Iruvar was all over the place, though not a commercial movie, it was a class act by Mohanlal and ofcourse Prakash Raj.

It was at Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women and the event was Symphony an inter collegiate culturals.

Prakash Raj was the chief guest and know what everybody wanted him to do the famous dialogue in Iruvar.

A little hesitant at first, he did tell us sets were different and college stages were different, he said you cannot ask a doctor to perform live an operation on stage. So too an actor cannot just do it on stage. But the demaind was much more to this explanation and so he did it the way it was and the applause followed and it was great show and it can only be done by well ofcourse Prakash Raj.

Then at the end of all the ceremonies, I approached him for an autograph, well I had only some certificate which I thought must be a good souvenir to be signed up for. He gladly obliged and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was pursuing B.Sc Physics and I have always like him but I want him not to be a villain. He just smiled and said, that’s only on the sets.

We chatted for a long time may be 35 minutes on various topics and how dreams were important. He had this to say, only we could dream for ourselves as much as anything else anybody do for us, its not going to work.

Its free and nobody got to pay for that, and once you stop dreaming it means an end to your pursuit whatever you wanted to do.

That was a cherishing occasion except that I dont have a photgraph, never the less, whenever I see him on screen the smile come to my mind and the words he shared flashes across.

Some of the best movies later were produced by Prakash Raj and the best part is he gets into the act without any humps an it so much to see him true to the character. Mozhi was a landmark film and so too was Abhiyum Naanum. Awesome characters in both the films.

In yet another film, Azhakiya Theeyae, its an awesome preformance, absolutely catching and makes those two people get together though he is being taken for a ride.

The way he slips into the character shoes, shows his remarkable ability as a actor par excellence. Any character, positive or negative its worth a watch if you get know Prakash Raj is a part of the show.

As for this film, Kancheevaram, it was making news and was given a standing ovation at most of the International Film Festivals. It is a subtle act and it has come across as a great one and well Priyadarshan needed an award too and it has come together with this.

Congrats Sir, hats off you deserved it long long ago.
